On August 29–30, the Balangay will return to Subic Bay for the National Heroes Day Regatta, marking the next chapter in the Sailing for Nation & Nature Series. The upcoming event will bring together sailing, coastal action, youth engagement, marine science, environmental engineering, circular enterprises, and practical solutions through the Circularity Village and two-day Sustainability Forum.

The Philippines is one of the world’s largest archipelagic nations, yet many Filipinos have become disconnected from the sea. The Vasco’s Independence Day Regatta launched the Sailing for Nation & Nature Sustainability Series to explore a simple idea: when people develop a deeper connection with the ocean, they are more likely to protect it. As part of the BPI Subic Bay Regatta, the Sustainability Talks 2025 returns on April 8–10 at Lighthouse Marina Resort. Bringing together leaders in ocean conservation, circular economy, and community action, the 3-day event highlights the connection between sailing and environmental responsibility—featuring Dr. Deo Onda, a beach cleanup using the PlastiZen app, and real solutions shaping a more sustainable Subic Bay.
