Commodore's Cup Regatta - A Tribute to Filipino Maritime Heritage

This coming April 2-7, Subic Bay will once again take centre stage as hundreds of sailors from around the world converge in this extreme sailing action from the yacht racing capital of the Philippines. Now in its 11th year, the Commodore’s Cup Regatta (CCR) has evolved to become the paragon of the development of sailing in the country.  We will enhance the experience of not just the participants, but also the spectators as we introduce, this year's Sailing Village which provides an unparalleled setting for customer engagement that will not only introduce our visitors to the sport of boating but also hopes to spark the maritime spirit within us.

In line with promoting maritime heritage, three (3) Balangay replicas will visit Subic Bay and be part of the CCR activities a week before their trip going to China to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of Sulu Sultan Paduja Batara to the Ming Dynasty in 1417.

This 4-day event will feature beach and water activities that hopes to spark the love of boating to all our visitors. There will also going to be a Marine Conference which will be hosted by the National Coast Watch Secretariat that aims to discuss maritime-related topics. It will definitely going to be a week of fun and excitement as the CCR commemorates the Filipino Maritime Heritage!
