Optimist (Full Course)

Service Description

The Optimist, a.k.a. the "opti, is a small single-handed sailing dinghy intended for use by children up to age of 15. Young sailors learning to sail typically starts with an opti. It is safe, stable and easy to rig. It is not only the most popular sailboat, but also the largest sailing class in the world and is part of the Olympics and the SEA Games. Here in the Philippines, not only do Subic Sailing Club offer classes to young kids to be sailors that may compete around the world and represent the Philippines or other countries, but Subic Sailing club also organizes regattas where these sailors can compete in. The Optimist course is aimed at children aged 7 to 17 learning how to sail for the first time. Students will learn the basics of sailing and sail their boats individually after the course. Eight (8) guided sailing sessions for two (2) days at two (2) sessions per day. Each session is for three (3) hours for a total of 24 hours for the entire course. The course is good for one (1) person. Full Course Rate: Php 18,000 Booking guide: Upon booking, please select the preferred schedule of your first session. The succeeding schedules and payment details will be coordinated by our staff via email together with some important reminders prior to your session. FINAL PAYMENT DURING FIRST SESSION. • NO CANCELLATION POLICY. RE-BOOKING WILL DEPEND ON BOAT AVAILABILITY. • CLIENTS SHOULD BE AT THE LIGHTHOUSE MARINA RESORT BEACH AREA 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO SCHEDULED TIME. SAILING TIME WILL BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED.
