To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Easter Regatta a commemorative dinner is planned to gather together all the past winners and the participants in the first Easter Regatta. The Easter Regatta was started by the Philippine Keelboat Association in 1993. In 1997 the event became the President’s Cup Regatta and in 2010 it became the Commodore’s Cup. The event has mainly been held at Eastertime after the China Sea Race and on alternate years the San Fernando Race. Venues have been Punta Fuego, Manila, Boracay and most of the time in Subic Bay.

Jerry Rollin who was the drive behind and the organizer of the first regatta is still the Principal Race Officer for this year's Commodores' Cup Regatta.
The 2018 Commodore’s Cup will be held after the China Sea Race from Monday 2 to Friday 6 April. The event is organized by Subic Sailing Club.
